The Choice for Luxury Cars

http://www.edmunds.com/pictures/VEHICLE/2008/Mercedes-Benz/2008.mercedes-benz.e-class.20150882-396x249.jpg

In 1994 a new class name assigned to the Mercedes Benz W124 generation engine configuration, the E Class, was debuted. The E stood for Einspritzung which means "fuel injection". Since then, the E-class range has long been Mercedes' bread and butter lineup. The E-Class sedans and wagons are solid, safe, comfortable, luxurious, and fast.

The 2008 E-Class is a 4-door, up to 7-passenger luxury sedan, luxury sports sedan, or luxury wagon, available in 6 trims, ranging from the E350 Luxury Sedan to the E63 AMG Wagon. It is a luxurious sedan that has a refined interior, multiple capable engine options, and confident handling.

"The E350 Luxury Sedan is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter, V6, 268-horsepower engine that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 24-mpg on the highway. A 7-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. The E63 AMG Wagon is equipped with a standard 6.2-liter, V8, 507-horsepower engine that achieves 12-mpg in the city and 18-mpg on the highway. A 7-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard."

The E Class has a very prestigious look and most reviewers praise it for its refined exterior. It has improved well with its face-lift this year, with new bumpers, headlights, grille, and possibly even fenders and doors.

The 2008 E Class has an elegant and comfortable interior, with attractive features. The wagons in the class seat up to seven, while the sedans seat five. The E Class has a 12-speaker harman/kardon LOGIC7 digital surround-system with a subwoofer that produces 420 watts of sound.

Nissan GT-R

The Nissan GT-R is a coupe created by Nissan, and released in Japan on December 6, 2007. Nissan showed the GT-R Concept as the prospective successor to the R34. It is expected to be released internationally by early June of 2008.

“It is powered by an all-new 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 "VR38" engine, featuring plasma-sprayed bores and a special twin-turbo exhaust manifold system. The Nissan GT-R's new engine produces 480PS (353kW) at 6400rpm and maximum torque of 60kgm (588Nm) from 3200 to 5200rpm.” It can reach the top speed of 193 mph.

It has got a super lightweight forged aluminum wheels with knurled bead area, which was designed to maximize tire adhesion to the wheel under extreme condition. Its body construction consist of super silver special metallic paint, with an 8-stage process including three clear coats and hand polishing to achieve a lustrous, liquid effect..

This car also features a long list of safety and environmental features, including, for enhanced visibility inside and out of the vehicle, high-mounted LED stop lamps, bright LED rear combination taillights, "super wide beam" headlights, heated door mirrors and flat-blade wipers.

For me, it may not the best looking car in the world
but who cares as long as it is incredibly fast. And in any sense, I'll reserve judgment for its looks until I see one in person. This thing is surely going to be a beast on the road. I'm sure it'll be a blast to drive. Pricing for the sports car starts at $69,850 - $71,900 for the premium edition.

Super Fast Seven

Have you ever heard of the Caterham Seven? If you haven't, try to search for photos of it on Google. One look at the results and you would immediately see that these Sevens looks similar but at the same time different.

That's the beauty of the Caterham Seven. The automaker has made it its goal to provide unique vehicles to their consumers even if it is of the same nameplate. Today, with more than 12,000 Sevens in the world, it is hard to find two Sevens which look exactly the same.

That philosophy is about to reach a whole new level as Caterham announced recently that it has entered into a working relationship with RS Performance. The said company has only one goal. And that is to provide a true-blue "built to order" vehicle. Join that up with Caterham's already extensive expertise on the development of unique vehicles and you would surely come out with really unique Seven.

The vehicles which will be produced under the relationship of the two forward thinking companies would be equipped with the RST-V8 engine. This is no ordinary V8 mind you. It has 40 valves and can produce as much as 500 bhp if turbocharged. A "less powerful" version is the naturally aspirated engine which produces "only" 400 bhp. That much power is produced by an engine which only weighs 90 kilograms.

Uhm, that means a power to weight ratio of 1,000 bhp per ton. That is twice as the power weight ratio of the Bugatti Veyron. Truly, the new Seven will be much faster than your Acura MDX with all its trappings including cold air intakes and wiper blades.

The Best Deals For Feb

Are you looking for a car? Cars.com extends a helping hand.

One thing that you should consider first is whether you can afford to spend a lot of money on gas. With the price of petroleum fuel increasing, you might want to put your plan of buying a car on hold. But if you can, maybe, you might want to try Car.com's best deals for February.

According to The Auto Channel, Cars.com managing editor Patrick Olsen had this to say: "While we have a list of the Top 10 Cash-Back Offers on Cars.com and a list of all available incentives to help shoppers, we have gone beyond just the numbers. We've analyzed the incentives on the market and determined the ones that we feel are great deals for consumers."

One of the recommended vehicles by Cars.com is the 2008 Kia Sedona. What makes it a good deal is that it has a very low base price. That means you will not be shelling out a fortune just to own one. Also, the Korean automaker offers one of the most attractive warranties. With the Sedona though, you will end up owning a vehicle with the interior looking like cheap plastic.

Another vehicle recommended by Cars' staff is the 2008 Ford Focus. According to this collective of auto buffs: "Make sure you check out Ford's website to get the total cash back available for your area. Cars.com checked a number of different regions and found a combined cash-back offer of $2,400 as the best available, but there could be more. $2,400 is quite a bit considering the Focus' MSRP. The Focus was redesigned for 2008, and its interior is much improved from the past model and has an optional Sync hands-free entertainment system. It's not the best in terms of ride quality, but it does get great mileage and has very responsive steering."

This does not mean though that you should buy the Focus or the Sedona because some dotcom staff told you it’s a good deal. You should check every part of the vehicle you want to buy including the starter even if some "authority" sites told you that it's all good.
